Sean Griggs, M.D.

Dr. Griggs received his medical degree from the University of Louisville, KY, and moved on to his residency at the Rhode Island Hospital in conjunction with Brown University. He then completed his hand surgery fellowship at the University of Houston, Texas. Dr. Griggs also completed a fellowship in elbow and shoulder surgery before joining Hand Surgery Associates in 2004. He completed a board certification in orthopaedic surgery with an Added Certification in Qualifications for Surgery of the Hand (CAQSH); his certifications and experience give him the skill to handle the most complex hand and upper extremity issues. Dr. Griggs is also the lead investigator on the Ascension PIP Joint Implant Institutional Review Board (IRB) at Porter Hospital, placing him at the forefront of new technology and techniques in joint and arthritis pain.
