Dr. Rovak is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon with a fellowship and board certification in hand and microvascular surgery. He graduated from the University of Michigan in 1998 with honors and highest distinction. He went on to medical school at Duke University. During this time he won numerous awards for research in peripheral nerve surgery, including a prestigious Howard Hughes Medical Institute research fellowship. He completed a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Washington University in St. Louis / Barnes-Jewish Hospital, followed by a fellowship in Hand and Microvascular Surgery at the Curtis National Hand Center in Baltimore. Dr. Rovak joined Hand Surgery Associates in 2008. He is an active member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand as well as a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Rovak is an avid blues/jazz piano and guitar player with an interest in caring for musicians.
