Dr. Williams was drawn to Denver by her love for the mountains and by Hand Surgery Associates’ reputation for exceptional upper extremity care.  She specializes in treating complex elbow, wrist and hand problems. At the University of Minnesota, she served as a team physician for Division I athletes and was named one of the state’s Top Doctors by Minnesota Monthly magazine. She has numerous publications and speaks nationally on upper extremity topics.

Dr. Williams graduated from Yale University with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy. She earned her medical degree at Stanford and completed Orthopedic residency at Johns Hopkins University. She completed a sports medicine fellowship as well as a hand and upper extremity fellowship at Johns Hopkins University.

Dr. Williams is passionate about her work.  She believes in combining her expertise and technical skills with a patient-centered approach. She tailors every treatment plan to the unique needs and goals of each patient. She enjoys all areas of hand, wrist, forearm and elbow surgery with an interest in fracture care, nerve problems, arthritis reconstruction, wrist and elbow arthroscopy, and sports-related upper extremity conditions.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two children and her dog, Lila. She also enjoys hiking, fitness, reading novels, listening to music, struggling through crossword puzzles, and a never-ending list of creative projects.
